MDL’s Mission Statement

When it comes to dog training, we believe in choosing the kindest way. We do not support the use of pain, fear, or intimidation as training tools. We believe these to be unnecessary for the successful training of all dogs, and that these tools are not only unethical but also harmful to the human-dog relationship.

We believe in giving dogs (and people) the benefit of the doubt. And that all dogs (and most people) are doing the best they can with the information they have.

We believe in training which prioritizes both human and animal welfare. And that the goal of dog training is a happier, more rewarding relationship between dog and human.
